Girls...Do Matter

'Sukanya' is the latest addition in our family. Now there's another lil one calling me - chachu/Anna.I don't know but there's something special about gals. Be it mom, sis or gf they all have one thing in common and that's a smile. And Smile=Strength

Maybe Shaggy's song 'Strength of a woman' potrays it all.
"So amazing how this world was made
I wonder if GOD is a woman!!
The gift of life astounds me till this day
I give it up for the woman!!
She's the constant wind that fills my sail
Oh that woman!!
With her smile and her style,
She'll protect like a child
That's a woman!!!!
She'll put a smile upon her face,
And take you to a higher place,
So don't you underestimate,
Strength of a woman !!Strength of a woman !!

Tenderness that's so so sweet,
Gentle words she softly speaks,
Such a nature will we meet,
God bless the ground beneath her feet !!
She can take you on a high,
Be your comfort when you cry,
But if you look into her eyes you'll see,
The strength of a woman.
Strength of a woman !!!"

Hats off to you all women for being men's biggest strength!!!

Curse of being a Bachelor :)

Getting a rental house is such a big challenge that sometime you feel it’s easier to find a girlfriend than to find a house of your choice. First it’s the broker who comes into picture. He'll take you for a ride and will put all TnC's (Terms and conditions) before you see the house. Brokers ensure they take the longest path so that by the time one reaches to the first house he's completely frustrated and ready to take its possession at any cost.

Once you reach to the owners place first thing they ask, "Beta! Are you married or still a bachelor?” The moment they hear the word "Bachelor" the house owner gives a stern look. It appears as if "Bachelors" are a breed of Bandits who has robbed - "Happiness" of these house owners. Standing outside at 40 deg Celsius you start an argument to prove why a bachelor is thousand times better than a familywaala. And the obstinate owner will ensure that the poor guy appear as a barking dog who can be ignored b'coz after all he's a homeless S.O.B...

But then in our country, there's a solution for every problem. You pay some extra amount of rent and house is yours. Owner start treating you like his very own son. You are no longer considered to be a chic hunter in that apartment. Aunties and their daughters are safe. Kids start treating you as their very own 'Bade Bhaiya' and you are permitted to play cricket and hit 4’s and 6’s.
All this love and admiration comes at a cost (... paying extra rent).
Isn't it ridiculous?

Indian Ocean - Down to earth but still above you all !

Couple of weeks back i again got a chance to watch Indian Ocean Live at Cobb Energy Performing Arts, Atlanta. Previously i was lucky to watch them perform live at IIT,Delhi and XIMB, BBSR. The band has proved every now and then that they are well above the other Indian bands. Here we have 4 guys who think out of the box music. Experimenting with desi instruments -they create a music thats so freshening. Each song has a deep meaning and carry a strong message.

Moreover Indian Ocean never seek publicity. They have there own music followers. College students loves them, adore them. Rahul Ram is the soul of band and my fav. Quiety Susmit has his own way of playing the guitar. He can play it on for hours n hours. Asheem has got a powerful voice which makes each song so unique and different. Amit 'The Drummer' can make any one do rock n roll. But few people knows that he's also a good singer.

The band has survived for 19 long years and produced some great Indi Rock songs.
Best way to describe their music as per Rahul is: Indian ocean music/songs are like Gajar ka Halwa(Carrot Halwa). It takes lot of time to create gud one. But once it is cooked well, it comes out to be an inspiring/delicious one.

Modesty is the keyword for band. They have seen so much success. But even today when you see these guys on the stage or when you get a chance to talk to them, they are so much down to earth.

Indian Ocean-Rock On!!!

Just a STUPID common man...

Last Thursday, i was watching the movie 'A Wednesday' with couple of my friends. Movie had many highs and lows. I got tempted to watch this movie all b'coz it had two of the best actors that this country has produced- Anupam Kher and Naseeruddin Shah. And they didn't let me down esp. Naseer.

The country is seeing increase in terror attacks. Terrorists are moving like free birds -courtesy: Screwed up Indian political system. Political parties looking for short gains. No one cares about country. These are the same people who are elected by us..Hunger for power and money has turned them insane.

India is labeled as a soft state. We capture terrorists and release them for some bullshit reasons. We have politicians with criminal background sitting in parliament house. They decides what is best for the country :) . These guys have no soul (...It dies the day they get the first taste of Power).

To an extent (we) 'common man' is to be blamed. Somewhere i read- "Govt. is elected by those who do not vote". In India we hardly find the educated one's casting their vote.
Instead of taking the blame we start blaming the system. To change the system we need to be part of the system. We can't isolate ourself. India is going nowhere.
Time has come we need to act like a Wise man and get rid of 'Just a STUPID common man' tag.

Am back $$$

Past few weeks life has been like a rollercoaster ride. It's moving sooooo fast that i had lost track of writing blogs. For me blogging is an expression of my views. The thought process keeps evolving at each and every moment. Moreover blogs gives me a chance to share my success and failures. Fellow bloggers comment gives me a chance for soul searching. It keeps me on track. It's always nice to know that there are still a few good men/women in this world who thinks beyond themselves. Who thinks about creating happiness in this so called fuc&ed up confused society.
Good Fellas!!!
Am enjoyin my trip to Uncle Sam's land. Work and parties goin the Bindass way. Friends are all what i have. My biggest treasure! Had a memorable trip to Smoky Mountains. It was fun all the way. Meeting friends after such a loooooong time was refreshing.

Sahu, RD/Kavs, Uday,Alok, Sumit/Ritu, Swaps,Pradeep, Manpreet and myself rocked all the way. Sahu as usual proved himself to be the perfectionist Bartender. His cocktails fired all of us. That eve we all were Rockstars inside the Jungle. Late night, we were dancing with the wolves. Hence once again my equation of life was proved right( Life-Friends=Useless).
Meanwhile life in Atlanta is bit exciting. Making new friends each day. Hope that this trip of mine is worth remembering. It Will....

Pumped Up !

6 Aug 08':
Yesterday cancelled my flight tickets. Now will be flying to Atlanta on 10'th Aug. This gives me an additional 5 days break. And am enjoying my extended stay in gurgaon. It's fun to be with the great 'Khanduri' family. Feeling rejuvenated.Next time hoping to get a job here so that am much more closer to family and my fav plc on this planet - Dehradun.

Today in the eve, I went to Anil Bhai's place. Am proud to have such a strong individual in our family. People who are seeing the worst of the time in their life but do not cribb. People who are suffering from great pain but do not cry. I pray to God to give family the strength to face all the challenges n give bhai the courage to win over his health karma. Am sure, pretty soon he gonna have the best time of his life.
Bhai u rock!!!
